Every year during the autumn school holiday, Copenhagen hosts Culture Night, and you are invited! On this special annual occasion, you can enjoy an entire day and evening filled with festive activities and events. In fact, Copenhagen’s Culture Night has been one of the city’s most popular and well-attended cultural events for more than 25 years.

Where does Culture Night in Copenhagen take place?

The entire city comes alive during Culture Night, from the city centre to Valby, Frederiksberg, Østerbro, Vesterbro, Nørrebro, Islands Brygge, Amagerbro and Christianshavn. This means there are plenty of opportunities to become part of Culture Night simply by exploring the city and keeping your eyes open. Remember to bring a Culture Pass if you want to travel freely by metro, bus and train throughout this special day and evening. You can also easily cycle from one event to another, and at Wakeup Copenhagen you can rent a bicycle if you are visiting the city. If you plan ahead, you can organise your evening in advance and make sure you experience the events that interest you the most.

The programme changes every year but usually includes a wide variety of exhibitions, creative workshops, canal tours, children’s entertainment, travel talks, midnight services, guided tours, concerts and interviews.
