How do I check-in?

You have following Check-in options:

  • Check-in at our front desk in the lobby
  • You can also skip the queue by using one of our check-in screens in the lobby. 

How often is the room cleaned if I stay several nights in a row?

We leave it to you to decide, whether you want daily cleaning of the room, when you stay several nights in a row. In the same way as you can decide when you want your towels changed. This means that we do not automatically clean your room, we let you decide. We automatically clean your room on the 4th day.

If you still want daily cleaning of the room and/or new towels, we are happy to do so. You just have to notify the reception before 10PM the night before. Remember to provide us with your room number.

Can I rent a cot/child's bed?

It is possible to rent a cot at the reception upon arrival. A cot costs   per night. For booking in advance please contact the respective hotel. 

Does each room have a TV?

Yes, all of our rooms feature a TV with local and international TV channels. For a channel overview, please see here.

Can you see through the window in the bathroom?

Only partly, since it is frosted glass.

Do the hotels offer luggage storage?

All Wakeup hotels have luggage lockers, where you can store your luggage. There are large and small lockers and they cost   a time.

How do I get the absolute cheapest rate on my accommodation?

The restrictive 'ECONOMY' price is our absolute cheapest price and it can ONLY be booked directly on our website. It must be prepaid and CANNOT be cancelled or changed. This booking must be paid in advance. We therefore urge you to always check your reservation carefully before completing your booking.

I would like to be able to cancel?

As with our ECONOMY price, our FLEXIBLE price can only be booked on the website, however, a FLEXIBLE booking can be cancelled until 12 noon on the day of arrival or changed to another date. The booking must be guaranteed with a valid credit card.

Is it more expensive if the accommodation is not booked online?

Yes! This type of reservation is called “Service booking”. If you choose to book your accommodation by phone or directly at the reception, there will be a service fee of  . This booking can be cancelled until 12 noon on the day of arrival or changed to another date. The booking must be guaranteed with a valid credit card.

When can I check in and out?

Check-in is possible from 3PM on the day of arrival and until the next morning. Please contact reception if you will be arriving later than 2AM in the morning. Check-out is at 11AM.

Based on availability, early check in is possible against payment. Request early check in at front office.

Is it possible to rent bicycles?

Bicycles can be rented at the hotels. The bike is yours until midnight. Bicycles CANNOT be pre-booked, but can be rented in reception.

Is it possible to have an extra person staying overnight in the room?

If you have booked a single room, you can upgrade to a double room for   per night. This is payable at check-in and need not be booked in advance.

In our double rooms there are a total of 2 duvets and 2 pillows available. 

Is there a restaurant that serves dinner?

Our breakfast restaurant only serves breakfast and not dinner. However, you are permitted to order in and enjoy food in your room. Our reception can provide cutlery should the need arise.

You will find lots of good restaurants close to our hotels in both Copenhagen and Aarhus. Feel free to ask our friendly staff who can advise on where to find the best restaurants in the area.

If you are staying at Wakeup Copenhagen, Carsten Niebuhrs Gade, you will find the closest restaurants at the neighbouring hotel Tivoli Hotel & Congress Center, where you can choose between international cuisine at Tivoli Brasserie, delicate sushi at Sticks ‘n’ Sushi or a good steak menu at MASH Penthouse. Also, try The Harbour at the hotel Copenhagen Island.

If you are staying at Wakeup Copenhagen, Bernstorffsgade, you will find a number of places to eat within 500-600 meters from the hotel. For example, try Asian Wagamama, enjoy a gourmet hot dog at Johns Hotdog Deli or have a delicious meal at one of the different dining options at the Tivoli Hotel & Congress Center.

If you are staying at Wakeup Copenhagen, Borgergade or at Wakeup Aarhus, M.P. Bruuns Gade, you will find plenty of good restaurants around the corner. 

Are pets allowed?

Unfortunately, you are not permitted to bring pets.

Is there a hairdryer in the room?

Yes, there are hairdryers in all the rooms.

Is there Wi-Fi at the hotel?

There is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. The code can be obtained from reception. We also have desktop computers that you are welcome to use at no extra charge. There is, however, a time limit of 30 minutes during busy periods.

Can I buy food and drinks at the hotel?

Our café in reception is open 24 hours a day. The kiosk sells beer, water, wine, sandwiches and a range of snacks.

Do the rooms have a mini bar?

No, the hotel rooms are not equipped with a mini bar. Please visit the kiosk in the lobby, which is open 24 hours a day.

Is breakfast served?

Yes. Breakfast costs   for adults and   for children under the age of 12. Our breakfast is served as a buffet and consists of a selection of freshly baked bread, freshly brewed coffee/tea, cold cuts, eggs, jam/marmalade, Nutella, cheese, cornflakes, muesli, yoghurt and a fruit basket.

Does the hotel offer parking?

Wakeup Copenhagen, Bernstorffsgade

When staying at Wakeup Copenhagen in Bernstorffsgade, you will easily find a parking spot close to the hotel. It is possible to park in our own underground parking at the hotel – however, we only have a limited number of parking lots. It is possible to buy a parking permit at the reception, and the price is   from 12 noon to 12 noon the next day. Unfortunately, it is not possible to reserve a parking lot in advance.

If we have no parking lots available, you can also use one of the outdoor parking spaces close to the hotel. Here you can buy a parking permit through one of the following Parking Apps: Easy Park, ParkOne or ParkMan, or directly at the parking pay station in Bernstorffsgade or Mitchellsgade.

Wakeup Copenhagen, Borgergade

There are lots of parking options available near our hotel. Besides the outdoor parking opportunities, there are 3 public car parks in Borgergade 13, Landgreven 10 & Adelgade 11-13 next to our hotel, managed by APCOA. Payment is made directly to the car park, and the price is   per started hour or   for 24 hours.

As a guest at our hotel you are able to buy a one-day ticket valid for 24 hours, starting from entering the car park. This ticket costs   per day (credit card fee not included) and can be bought in the lobby at the hotel.

Wakeup Copenhagen Borgergade is not responsible for any rates of APCOA as they may be changed at any time and tickets may be sold out.

 

Wakeup Copenhagen, Carsten Niebuhrs Gade

At Wakeup Copenhagen, Carsten Niebuhrs Gade, parking is possible at APCOA's car park attached to the hotel. From the second floor, there is a direct entrance to the reception. It costs   an hour and   for 24 hours. Parking CANNOT be booked in advance.

We offer charging for electric cars: Located at floor A+B+C inside the parking garage we offer 17 Clever charging points.

 

Wakeup Aarhus, M.P. Bruuns Gade

At Wakeup Aarhus, M.P. Bruuns Gade, we refer to parking at Bruun's Galleri Shopping center, which is located beneath the hotel. The entrance is in Værkmestergade 27. The car park is divided in 3 levels and the entrance is at the highest level (P3). From P3 there is access to P2 and P1. Electronic signs show available parking space. Look out for signs with the Wakeup logo for exit to the hotel.

Prices: The price for parking is   per half hour. If you park 24 hours, maximum to be paid is   when you chose to pay at the Wakeup reception. When paying by credit card in the car park, the rate for 24 hours is  . The license plate is registered by camera when entering and must be used at the time of payment. The car park is surveyed by CCTV, however parking is at own risk.

Important: The Car park is open 24 hours. However, between 0.30AM and 6.30AM the only access to the cars is through the exit of the car park by foot.

Is smoking permitted?

Our hotels are 100% smoke-free.

Can I iron my shirt in the room?

No, but there is an ironing room in the basement that all guests are welcome to use.

Is there a telephone in the room?

There are no telephones in the rooms, but there is an emergency telephone by the lift on every floor from which the emergency services and reception can be contacted.

What is the easiest way to get to and from the hotel?

Wakeup Copenhagen, Bernstorffsgade

  • You can take a taxi from the taxi rank at Kastrup Airport. It takes approx. 15 minutes from the airport to the hotel.
  • The train goes directly from Kastrup Airport. You have to take two stops to Copenhagen Central Station, from where you have a 5 minute walk to the hotel.

Wakeup Copenhagen, Carsten Niebuhrs Gade

  • Taxi from Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup.
  • Train direct from Copenhagen Airport, two stops from Copenhagen Central Station. You can walk from the Central Station to the hotel – it takes 5–10 minutes.
  • Bus, 5C from Copenhagen Airport to Polititorvet and then walk 3–5 minutes to the hotel.

Wakeup Copenhagen, Borgergade

  • Approx. 8-minute walk from Nørreport Station.
  • You can take a taxi or the Metro, departing from the arrivals hall at the airport. The Metro ride to Kongens Nytorv takes approx. 15 minutes. The journey from the arrivals hall to the hotel takes around 25 minutes.
  • Approx. 5-minute walk from the Metro at Kongens Nytorv
  • There is ample opportunity to park near the hotel. Besides the good on-street parking nearby, there are car parks on Borgergade and Adelgade.

Wakeup Aarhus, M.P. Bruuns Gade

  • Train to Aarhus central station and then walk 3-5 minutes before reaching the hotel.
  • Bus 925X from Aarhus Airport to Aarhus Busstation and then walk 10 minutes before reaching the hotel.

Can I pay in other currencies at the hotel?

We use Danish kroner when we give quotes on room reservations. However, it is possible to pay with and exchange EUR, USD, GBP, SEK, NOK, AUD, CAD, CHF, JPY and SGD in the reception at the hotel's exchange rate.

Can I have clothes washed and dry cleaned at the hotel?

Yes, we provide a 'Wash and clean' service via Butlers. You can drop off your clothes in reception in the morning before 8AM and pick them up again after 5PM, clean and freshly laundered.

What are the different types of rooms available?

We offer five different types of hotel rooms at our Wakeup Copenhagen hotels. Choose between:

  • WAKEUP STANDARD – A really good room, usually located on the lower floors or at the back of the building.
  • WAKEUP SKY – A really good room located on the middle floors with a slightly better view than WAKEUP STANDARD.
  • WAKEUP HEAVEN – Our best positioned room with the best view, usually located on the upper floors of the building.

All three types of rooms have a 160x200cm Getama bed and measure 12m2.

  • WAKEUP LARGE –  Consists of a 160x200cm Getama bed and a small 75x195cm fold-out mattress. This 15 m2 room can accommodate 2 adults and one child.
  • WAKEUP FAMILY – Consists of two WAKEUP STANDARD rooms with a connecting door.

There are no rooms with twin beds at our hotel.
