Sustainability in Arp-Hansen Hotel Group

Two people with long hair sit indoors by a window, overlooking a cityscape. One points outside, while the other watches. A bowl of snacks is on the table in front of them. The scene conveys a relaxed, observational moment.

We make sustainability an easy and accessible choice

At Arp-Hansen Hotel Group, we act responsibly by working to make sustainable accommodation an easy and accessible choice for all guests - regardless of budget. Sustainability must be simple and for everyone, which is precisely the ambition of our ESG strategy, which – among many other exciting things – contains our concrete goals towards 2030.

Our initiatives

Among the initiatives we have implemented are, for example:

  • All our hotels are Green Key certified. This is one of the most widely recognised eco-labels in tourism and shows that we meet more than 150 requirements within water, energy, cleaning, waste, food, buildings and much more.
  • We have the Danish Organic Dining Label in bronze, meaning that at least 30-60% of our food and beverages are organic.
  • We prepare climate accounts and have committed to the Science Based Targets Initiative (with a goal of becoming climate neutral in our own operations by 2050).
  • We measure our food waste and sort organic waste so it can be recycled into biogas, biodiesel and fertiliser.
  • We provide bicycles that can be rented at all our hotels.
  • We assist guests in finding their way using public transport or locating green running routes in the area.
  • All our rooms are equipped with water-saving devices on the taps. Guests experience a soft and pleasant water flow while using only about half the amount of water normally consumed.
  • Our paper and brochure materials are eco-labelled.
  • Our linen is washed at an eco-certified laundry.
